There are a lot of people out there who often dream of owning their
own business someday. There are even some who would like a career doing something they love. Yet there are only a few who
end up with both, and they are the ones who do something about it like David Holtzinger, of Abbottstown, Pa.

From the time he came out of York Vo-Tec, Dave decided to go work
for a retired SAAB dealer,YORKSHIRE GARAGE. He then went to another SAAB dealer,BECK FOREIGN CARS,out of York New Salem. After
that he put some time in at MILLERS GARAGE, also from YNS. But from there he believed he was ready to go into business for
himself. In 1984 he decided to open up a small garage in East Berlin, Pa. |
|
Two years later he took his tools to 586 W. King Street in Abbottstown,
Pa. From his experience, he specialized in SAABs, but decided to include foreign and domestic cars as well. "The SAAB owners
would have other cars that needed fixed too." He thought it would be good for his business. |
|
Then in 1989 he started to sell the cars that he would fix up to
bring more business. That brought the name LINCOLNWAY SALES AND SERVICE. Of course, he didn't stop there. The next year he
opened up a body shop as well. All the buisnesses on one lot. |
|
10 years later, in the year 2000, Dave and his wife Josefina, bought the restaurant next door and expanded his sales lot.
Beside all of this, Dave still finds time to sell new and used parts for SAAB. So what is next, you may ask? Keep tuning in,
and we'll keep you posted!
